I saw PARADE and it was wonderful-certainly the best locally produced musical I have seen in CT!

Congratulations on your outstanding production of PARADE.  I saw the final performance on February 29th and it was the best of many productions of this musical that I have seen.

I fell in love with PARADE in 1999 after seeing the original at Lincoln Center in New York.  When the national tour was mounted in 2000, I traveled to Atlanta for the kick-off of the tour and had the good fortune of meeting Jason Robert Brown.  I caught the tour version again in Pittsburgh and Cleveland where the tour ended.  In Cleveland I got to attend a gathering with the cast after a performance.

Since the show has been licensed for local productions, I have attended community productions in Bethpage, NY, Whitefield, NH, Baltimore, MD and College productions at Ithaca College and Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ.

I have studied the book and score of PARADE thoroughly and was most impressed with your group’s interpretation.  You absolutely nailed it!  And I was most impressed with the orchestra’s mastery of every nuance in an incredibly beautiful yet difficult score.  One of my barometers is Leo’s “It’s Hard to Speak My Heart, and Jeffery Vida and the orchestra were near-perfect.

Please pass on my heartiest congratulations to you cast, crew, and musicians.
